SUMMARY:Beginner Open-to-all Chainsaw Safety
DESCRIPTION:Registration is full. Please contact forestry@mofga.org to be added to the waitlist. Join MOFGA alongside Women for Healthy Rural Living and Maine Seacoast Mission for Beginner Open-to-all Chainsaw Safety in Downeast\, Maine! Learn safe chainsaw operation in these one-and-a-half-day courses. We’ll cover personal protective equipment (PPE) and chainsaw selection\, and practice safe handling and open-face bore cutting techniques with instructor supervision. Designed for beginners. Day 1 of this course will run 10am – 4pm\, and Day 2 will run 8am – 4pm. Learn more about MOFGA’s chainsaw courses here! Please reach out to forestry@mofga.org with any questions. $240 general admission and $190 for MOFGA and Midcoast Conservancy members. *Limited scholarship funds are available to community members in order to increase program accessibility.
