SUMMARY:Bringing Back an Old Orchard
DESCRIPTION:*In the event of severe weather\, the workshops will be held on March 22. Learn to prune apple trees to encourage vigorous growth\, heavy fruit set and quality fruit yield. Fruit tree experts will offer hands-on pruning experience. Collection of scion wood and storage will also be discussed. This workshop is directed at folks who haven’t pruned before or have a little experience. Instructors will discuss basic pruning practices and required tools\, as well as identifying branch collars\, waterspouts\, fruit buds\, and about branch training. We have two locations for this workshop: Branch Hill Farm (Milton Mills\, NH/Acton\, ME) | REGISTER HERE Freeport\, ME | This workshop is sold out. Note that the terrain includes uneven ground\, and participants will be standing and moving outside for the majority of the workshop.
